Uniform

Hukerenui School has a compulsory school uniform available from The Warehouse.

Our uniform comprises of:

· Summer: School polo shirt, plain, clean & tidy blue denim or black bottoms. (No patterns or frills)

· Winter: School Polar Fleece jumper or school sweatshirt, plain, clean & tidy blue denim or black bottoms. (No patterns or frills)

Please remember that there are long sleeved school shirts available, therefore no short-sleeved school shirts with long sleeved thermals worn underneath or likewise will be allowed.

Length of any shorts/legging or skirts:

When kneeling, shorts, leggings or skirts may measure no shorter than 15cm from

the ground up. We are talking ¾ short lengths as a rough example.

Please note that when girls reach Year 6/7/8 levels, legging type shorts may not be appropriate without a shirt long enough to cover up.

In the event of you struggling to find an appropriate size for your child, please contact the principal.

We have a second-hand uniform cupboard available where parents can donate uniforms which can be obtained for a koha. Please ask about availability.

Students representing the school for offsite sporting activities are required to wear the school sports shirts. Shirts will be issued by the teacher and are returned to school after the event for washing. Shirts which are lost or damaged will need to be replaced by the student.

School uniform rules will be strictly re-enforced by all staff members.

Bucket Hats must be worn in term 1 and 4.

Please name all clothing items so they can be returned to the owner.
